
Effective February 1st 2012: The embassy of China will no longer
process SAME DAY visas and will accept NEXT DAY processing on a case by
case basis. The embassy will only process visas within jurisdiction.
The D.C. jurisdiction includes Washington D.C., Delaware, Idaho,
Kentucky, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota,
South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia,
and Wyoming. Please contact our office if you have any questions, or if you fall outside of this jurisdiction, as we can still assist you.
- Original, signed U.S. passport - must be valid for atleast 6 months containing at least 1 blank visa page.
- 1 fully typed, completed, and signed Visa Application Form

Note: As of September 16th, 2011 all Chinese applications must be
TYPED. Every question must be answered fully, even if the answer is
"N/A" where appropriate. Do not write in anything on the application
except your signature.

- Effective
May 01, 2003 the Chinese Embassy will not accept visa applications by
mail; the applicant will have to appear in person or process their
visas through a visa service such as A-1 Passport & Visa Express.
- Please
include credit card authorization, a company check or money order
payable to "A-1 Passport & Visa Express" for A-1 handling fee per
visa, plus Consular Fee per visa, plus return Shipping Fee.

Shipping Fees for return of your passport:
- $23 - Fed Ex Letter (Priority Overnight – up to three passports delivered next day)
- $26 – Fed Ex Letter (Priority Overnight – 3-5 passports delivered next day)
- $38 – Fed Ex Letter (Saturday Delivery)
Please
be advised that the shipping fee for some states are slightly higher
than the ones mentioned above. Your receipt should indicate the fee
differences also the above rates apply to most Continental USA. Higher
rate applies to Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and US Virgin Islands.

- Please
make sure that your application is fully completed, signed and dated.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of
entry into China and must have at lease one blank visa page left in
your passport. If you need a new passport/renew or add pages to your
passport please check Passport Instruction.
- Your visa documents will be hand carried to the embassy and the normal processing time is usually 4-5 business days.
- Rush processing of 24 hours is also available. A-1 service fee is $85 for same day processing (see fee schedules)
- As
of Jan. 1, 2009, visa fee for US. citizens will be $140 regardless of
number of entries; the expedite service fee for visas within 24 and 48
hours applies as usual.
