  • Letter explaining your visit’s details and purpose as well as your intended activities while in Afghanistan

Business Visa

Passport

    • Original, signed U.S. passport – must be valid for at least 6 months containing at least 1 blank visa page.

    • Copy of round trip travel itinerary or tickets.

Proof of previous visa

    • A clear copy of previous visa issued if applicable

Company Letter

    • A company letter of intent and financial responsibility typed on the company’s stationery stating the following information (Sample):
      • Introducing the applicant, stating the applicant’s position with the company.
      • Purpose of trip and a brief description of type of duties to be performed
      • Name of company/contacts
      • Financial responsibility for the applicant including return airfare.
      • For Multiple Entries Visas, a request must be made in this company letter and it should be signed by one of the officers of the company.
      • Please address your letter to:

Additional Requirements

  • Journalists and the media must provide an introduction letter stating their purpose, length of stay, and what they intend to do in Afghanistan. (Media journalists need to contact Press Office of the Directorate of Media Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

Step 2: Fees

A-1 Service Fee:

$95.00 per visa

$195.00 Rush service fee (if agreed by the consulate office)

Consular Fee:

$160.00 per Visa – Single entry
$360.00 per Visa – for U.S. government and military contractors

$5 fee will be charged to you for obtaining a money order for processing this visa
