Letter of Invitation

A letter of invitation from your inviting company printed on their letterhead. This letter should contain your full name and passport number and it must state your date of travel into and out of Burundi requesting issuance of a single or multiple entry visa.

Note:In order to be able to speed up the processing time, you should ask your inviting organization to obtain a visa approval form the police an the ministry of security in Burundi, doing so will reduce the processing time dramatically from 15-20 days to approximately 2-3 days.

Company Letter

• • A company letter of intent and financial responsibility typed on the company’s stationery stating the following information (Sample):
  • The letter must state all of the following:
    • Introducing the applicant, stating the applicant’s position with the company.
    • Purpose of trip and a brief description of type of duties to be performed
    • Name of company/contacts
    • Financial responsibility for the applicant including return airfare.
  • Please address your letter to:
    • Embassy of Burundi, Visa Section, Washington D.C.
    • The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

A-1 Service Fee:

$85.00 per visa

Consular Fee:

$90.00 Per visa – valid for 3 months for stay 30-60 days
