U.S. Citizens do not require a visa for entry to South Africa however a U.S. Passport is required.
Step 1: Collect Documents
Tourist Visa
Passport
- Original, signed passport – must be valid for atleast 6 months containing at least two blank visa pages.
Application
- 1 Application Form, fully completed, signed, and notarized
Proof of Travel
- Copy of travel airline itinerary or air tickets that show round trip transportation
Proof of Stay
- Copy of hotel confirmation(s) for the length of intended stay
Photos
A1 Order Form
- Completed two-page Order Form
Additional Requirements
- Copy of U.S. Alien Registration or proof of legal residence in the U.S.A.(valid U.S. visa)
- Copy of current Medical Insurance Policy showing coverage
- Copy of most recent bank statement
- Yellow Fever certificate if arriving from, or traveling to, or through, the yellow fever endemic area
Business Visa
Passport

Invitation Letter
- Invitation from the company or organization in South Africa (required at the discretion of the consular)

Company Letter
- A company letter (Sample) of intent and financial responsibility typed on the company’s stationery stating the following:
- Purpose and date of travel and duration of stay.
- Name and address of the contacts/company to be visited and nature of the business.
- Financial responsibility for the applicant as well as return transportation to U.S.
- This letter must be signed by a superior within your company other than the applicant
- Please address your letter to:
