A letter of introduction

  • A letter of introduction from the applicant should be provided addressed to the consulate section of the embassy of Kazakhstan is required. Your letter must state the following information:
  • Purpose of travel
  • Dates of visit
  • Your itinerary in Kazakhstan
  • Name of the hotel in Kazakhstan

Note: Tourist visas for US passport holders are issued between 1-5 years at the embassy’s discretion.

Children under the age of 18

submit a copy of both parents passports as well as the birth certificate. If only one parent traveling with the minor, a notarized letter of acknowledgement from the other parent would be needed to process the visa.

    • An invitation is no longer required for a single entry business visa for U.S. citizens, but applicants for double entry or multiple entry visas will require a letter of invitation approved by the Kazakhstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Company Letter

  • A company letter of intent and financial responsibility (Sample) typed on the company’s stationery stating the following information:
    • Introducing the applicant, stating the applicant’s position with the company
    • Applicants passport number.
    • Purpose of trip and a brief description of type of duties to be performed
    • Reference to be visited, (name and address in Kazakhstan)
    • Financial responsibility for the applicant including return airfare.

Note: For Multiple Entries visa, an official invitation from authorized organization in the Kazakhstan is required. The organization must be duly registered in Kazakhstan. The invitation must state your name, dates of the visit, and cities to be visited. Organization in Kazakhstan must also have confirmation sent by the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan to their Embassy in Washington on your behalf.

Your documents will be hand carried to the embassy of Kazakhstan and is usually processed within 5-7 business days.

Note: Visas for minors under 16 years, of any category, and for any duration are Free of Charge

A fee of $5 money order/check writing fee is included in the above visa fees.
